After smashing a boundary to finish off the game, Suryakumar took off his helmet and did a nonchalant gesture to assure the squad sitting in the pavilion of the victory. Suryakumar Yadav and his unbeaten 79 off 43 balls that helped Mumbai stay atop the IPL points table. Suryakumar came in when MI had lost the in-form Quinton de Kock in the sixth over but took the game by storm. He hit 10 fours and three sixes in his innings. The inning comes few days after he missed out on a place within the Indian squad that will tour Australia starting from November.
सूर्यकुमार यादव के साथ कुछ ऐसा ही हुआ. मुंबई इंडियंस को मैच जिताने के बाद सूर्यकुमार यादव ने ड्रेसिंग रूम की तरफ इशारा किया. और कहा- शांत हो जाओ,मैं हूँ ना. सब संभाल लूँगा. इसके बाद नॉन स्ट्राइकर एंड पर खड़े कार्यवाहक कप्तान कीरोन पोलार्ड भी ढांढस बढाने लगते हैं कि कोई बात नहीं. आज नहीं तो कल तुम्हारा इंडिया में चयन होगा. किसी न किसी को तो तुम्हारी अहमियत समझ आएगी. बस रन बनाते जाओ. मैच के बाद भी पोलार्ड ने सूर्यकुमार यादव को लेकर यही बयान दिया. ये मैच का सबसे दिल छू लेने वाला पल था. यूँ कहिये कि मुंबई इंडियंस और आरसीबी के मैच का सार बस इसी क्षणों में निकल गया.
